EXPERIMENT SAFETY PLAN FORMS

The ESP ensures the safety of all participants at the on-site contest. All teams bringing a bench-scale demonstration to the contest must have an approved ESP. While preparing your bench-scale demo at your home institution, follow your institution's safety protocols. See links below for the ESP Forms and a sample ESP. 

Teams not meeting the deadlines listed below will not be allowed to bring a bench-scale prototype to the contest. 

ESP Steps:

  • Complete Mandatory Short Course (all team members) by Feb. 20, 2026
    • Free. Mandatory. On-demand.
    • Course is limited to teams enrolled in the contest.
    • The course should take no longer than 45 minutes to complete. 
    • Registered teams will be emailed links in December.
    • If you have not received the link, or have not yet registered, email a request to werc@nmsu.edu 
  • Submit the ESP form by March 13, 2026
  • Complete the Transportation form (see below) if your team plans to ship equipment to Las Cruces

Submit this form by March 30, 2026 if you plan to ship equipment to Las Cruces.

Teams will ship their packages directly to the Farm & Ranch Museum.
