Celebrating 37 years of turning ideas into impact.

The WERC Environmental Design Contest is a national competition that brings students, industry, and government together to solve real-world environmental challenges. Teams develop innovative solutions to industry-driven problems in water, energy, resources, and climate.

Hear directly from experienced WERC participants:
• Why faculty bring capstone teams to WERC
• Opportunities for sophomores and juniors to participate
• How universities fund participation
• Student perspectives on the value of WERC
• Why engineers travel across the country to volunteer as judges
• How WERC supports ABET and real-world design experiences

The content for both webinars will be similar, with a mix of panelists across the two sessions.

• The Conference operates independently from the Design Contest and is held as a separate event. 
• Teams entering the contest will be considered for publication in the IEEE Waste-management Education Conference (WERC) in the IEEE Xplore online journal.
